The National Association of Women Artists, Inc. (NAWA) and One Art Space proudly present The Art Angels. This annual exhibition is a showcase of works created by the dedicated volunteers who uphold NAWA’s core values. Held annually, the Art Angels exhibition honors NAWA’s mission to educate and empower. The participating NAWA Signature Members in the 2026 Art Angels Exhibition have generously contributed their time, talent, and creativity to advance the mission of NAWA.
Founded in 1889 in the spirit of the kindness and goodwill of volunteerism, NAWA relies upon the expertise of its members. The Art Angels Exhibition celebrates the core members who are considered to be the backbone of the organization. It is with their care and generosity that the organization continues to provide the resources and benefits to all members. Known as Art Angels, it is with their generosity, and through the investment of their time, that NAWA continues to grow and expand.

About NAWA
The National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), founded in 1889, stands as the first professional women’s art organization established in the United States.
Five pioneering women sought to address the lack of opportunities for women artists. Anita C. Ashley, Adele Francis Bedell, Elizabeth S. Cheever, Grace Fitz-Randolph andEdith Mitchill Prellwitz spearheaded a vital alternative to the restrictions of the day, providing a supportive network and avenues for exhibition.
NAWA provides exhibition opportunities for its members, and promotes culture through events, education, scholarships & awards. The NAWA Catalog is archived in over 10 high-profile institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, The Library of Congress, and more. The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, holds a permanent collection of NAWA art, underscoring the organization’s significant impact on American art history.
Current Signature Members are juried into NAWA for a lifetime membership, once accepted.
