City Dog is a small painting about a feeling many people know – being alone in a large city and enjoying it.
The city is full of life, noise, and countless stories unfolding behind illuminated windows. This little traveler is not part of any of them tonight. Instead, he stands outside, looking on.
His golden fur echoes the warm glow of the windows around him, suggesting a connection between the observer and the lives beyond the glass. Though surrounded by thousands of people, he belongs to no particular place.
For me, the painting is about those rare moments when solitude feels less like isolation and more like freedom.
