“Declaration” is a statement about how far we HAVE NOT come, on this our 250th Anniversary as a country, which was created to ensure “all men are created equal”. The milestone of our Declaration of independence and” unalienable rights” guarantees life, liberty and pursuit of happiness … unless you are a woman. It’s 2026 and the “Rights of Women” is still a topic of debate and a political mechanism. The painting has the Declaration of Independence tattooed on the woman’s face, but altered to say “all women are created equal” – correcting a long-standing prejudice.
