My current work investigates the nature of communication – natural, political, interpersonal and geographical – to see how they attune to each other and hold the whole intact or fail and misfire. I use various printmaking methods like a cook would mix ingredients. Serigraph is great for opaque predictable outcomes. Monotypes give fuzzy mystical nuances and intaglio gives me the pressed impressions and deep grooved stories I like to entwine with other layers.
The inherent notion of trust in systems as safety nets, protection and comfort is currently a consideration for every American given current political policy makers. It is only with scrutiny and discernment that we can examine which systems we have become complacent about saving or redeeming.
