Haro of Sorrows – goodbyes
sculpture
25 x 16 x 9

I am of Irish descent. My great grandparents emigrated in 1855 from Ireland to the US (upstate New York) because of the potato famine. The sculpture is symbolic of the Irish diaspora. One side the family is waving goodbye to a family member leaving on a boat. The other side is a woman who signed up to be an indentured servant in the new land. She is looking through the sails as her family recedes in the distance.

Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
