Painting , for me, is an opportunity to retreat into my imagination and tell a “story”. As I paint, I work to cultivate artwork that tells a narrative about an experience from the point of view of the protagonist.
In this painting, I worked with water-media to create an image that is inspired by the life of an elderly woman’s experiences. In “ghost story, chapter 3 _Visiting with her memories” my central character is living for today while she considers her past, in terms of her memories.
