This painting was inspired by the years I spent living in California. Living near the ocean taught me to watch closely: the way light dissolves into water at dusk, how fog softens the edges of a city, and how waves carry stories even when no one is listening. These memories surface throughout my art, not as literal depictions, but as subtle washes of color and atmosphere inspired by the places I inhabited and the landscapes beyond them.
