In The Rendezvous, two small creatures–alternately half bird/animal and half human–in an idyllic garden are balancing on a mostly real flower. Although it looks unreal.
Who or what is the “better half”? Why? How does picking a partner who has qualities you are missing or wanting play out? One might allow any associations it flower and go to seed.
Representing my thoughts on relationships visually provokes thoughts not only in viewers but in me as well. I think that much of life feels unreal partly because the unconscious and subconscious are running the show that we call life.
