My narrative mixed media pieces are an intuitive blend of acrylic paint, handmade paper and fabric that give life to my contemporary concepts. Each painting starts with an idea that takes many compositional and decorative turns before I call it complete. The result is an intricate tapestry of visual elements that invites my viewers to explore the many layers of textural detail.
In my work, I explore memories and dreams as a way to highlight ideas about the interdependence of humanity and nature. It also reflects life’s changes and our resilience in navigating the ups and downs. I believe we create balance and harmony by being sensitive to our environment and each other.
