The joy on my son’s face as he posed in his “habitat” along the Pacific Coast near where he works in La Jolla, CA, inspired me to do a rare return to figurative work. I surprised him with this painting as a loving house-warming gift last Fall after he moved into his new apartment in Little Italy.
