I am an expressionist painter. I create an energetic freewheeling dialogue between color and chaos, mark making and pattern. Gouache has a mind of its own. I respond to what is revealed to me. I believe the hand of the artist is revealing of the mood and temperament of the piece, therefore I am present in the conversation between the piece and the viewer.
