The tropical florals are an ongoing series of watercolors inspired by a solo show I was invited to have at the Koa Gallery in Honolulu that ran concurrent to a High School Reunion in Honolulu where I was born and raised. The work explores my passion for watercolor, serial imagery and evocative color. The subject matter takes me back to my roots and feelings of desire, longing, and a painful nostalgia as I relive my life rich with exotic scents, colors and adventures with childhood and teen friends, most of whom are still living in this tropical paradise and remain my closest friends to this day.
