Becoming empty nesters had a profound impact on me and my husband. Even though we had been through 38 years of marriage, I realized that we were growing as a couple in unique ways in this period. I interpret everything about growth through nature, as it teaches profound lessons of how to live through all seasons. As I painted, I kept imagining two flowers that are intertwined together. There are seed components and movement of growth throughout the work.
