Family Group and Animated Forms are recurring themes in all my 2D and 3D work. My interest is in exploring the boundaries between representation and abstraction. I reduce the subjects to bold, simplified forms and create excitement, tension and often lots of space in the artwork. Form, color and texture became increasingly important in development of the collage, and man-made and natural materials like felt, suede, velvet, paper, sandpaper and copper were incorporated into the pieces. This is an exciting, intuitive and challenging way to work.
