I ofter find myself moved to comment on real issues that threaten our planet today, i.e., wars, plagues, climate change. At times, I express feelings of frustration; at others, I strive to express an optimistic vision that I hope will inspire others.
I see myself as a storyteller. I hope to elicit both an intellectual response and one from the heart. I am drawn toward the use of symbolism, particularly hands and eyes. I am a mixed media artist, working mostly with acrylic paints and collage on canvas. This blending of different media enhances the visual mystery that I strive to express.
