I am a self-taught artist, focused primarily on portraits and figures in oil and acrylic. This painting is part of a series of portraits of friends and family, as well as people I encounter in everyday life. Nyil is a young man I met in Pittsburgh, who graciously permitted me to take his photograph so that I could paint his portrait.
