This photo is close to my heart, taken while on tour with my now adult daughter in Vietnam. The grandmother seemed very confused while the younger women pointing a figure at her called her out. The tired look on her face, the protected child on her back, the woman behind her hearing and taking note… all called to my sense of awareness of kindness lost.
