In Heart to Heart Tea Talk, I explore the idea of connections that bind us as humans and invoke memories of past and present. The painting is an invitation to remember a special time as you perhaps had a tea party or shared a warm cup of something with a dear one.
It was created during a time of turmoil to escape, meditate and process all that was happening in the world. They build and reveal themselves as I add traces of lace as a symbol of nurturing. I scan, print and collage handwriting, and add more layers to create a rich surface.
