With peace among people in a constant state of flux between the powerful and the vulnerable, our outlook on life can seem dull. This painting created outdoors in the shade by the seashore among the brambles and weeds, is a personification of my thoughts related to world events. Like the Romantic painters, I use nature and its glory to highlight what is great and acknowledge tragedies and our fragility.
