Inspired by a recurring dream, I am interested in past experiences and how they mold and form who we become. Childhood memories are often the source of meaning and inspiration for my work. I use a shallow space and multiple perspectives in my compositions, working partly from life and partly imagination. All imagery has a specific meaning to me personally but I do not wish to embed a narrative in the painting. The inspiration serves only as an excuse to make the painting.
