Burnt Orange Woods was created as part of a series that I titled Perspective. The drawing elements and color fields in the negative spaces between the trees are used to create depth. The nontraditional colors create a dialogue when placed next to each other. I relied on my own experiences of hiking several trails throughout the United States to convey a universal sense of place.
