GUIDELINES:

Definition: Must be original work, no Giclée reproductions of original works, in the following categories: Oil, Acrylic, Wax, Photography, (Digitally created must be recognized as such in the title.) Mixed Media, Collage, Printmaking, Pastels, Watercolors, Ceramics.

Sculpture and Video art will not be accepted.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Maximum size restriction: 50” on the longest side. Dimensions include the frame.
• Artwork that has been previously exhibited in a NAWA Exhibition will not be accepted.
• Accepted works cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibition.
• ALL WORKS MUST BE FOR SALE. Price, title, dimensions of entered work cannot be changed.
• No ceiling hung artworks will be accepted.
• No saw tooth hangers. All works must be wired to gallery standards and must meet professional presentation standards as interpreted by the NAWA Exhibition Committee.
• Framing with plexiglass required for all works on paper. Exception: Pastels may be framed in glass.
• Work will not be hung if it is damaged in transit. We will notify you immediately if your work arrives damaged.
• Unframed canvas art work must have the sides painted (not left white).
• Graphic violence and/or lewd sexual content prohibited. Nudes are acceptable at the discretion of the committee.
• NAWA reserves the right to refuse work not professionally presented.

ENTERING YOUR IMAGES

• Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.
• List sizes up to the nearest inch. If the artwork is framed, include the frame in the size.
• Submitted JPEG images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Images with watermarks or superimposed information will be disqualified. Images must be right-side-up.
• Name each image in the NAWA standard for all labeling, as shown here: lastname_firstname_titleofwork_medium_size_price
• Images should be of good quality and sized to 2MB, 1100 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format.
• Image submissions that are not sized or labeled correctly may be disqualified

SALES:

• Wellfleet Preservation Hall receives 25% commission. NAWA receives 15% Artist will receive 60% of sale price.

DELIVERY/SHIPPING

• Artists agree to assume all shipping expenses related to exhibition. Shipped work MUST include a prepaid bar-coded return shipping label (FEDEX or Hand Delivered only).
• NO STYROFOAM PACKING PEANUTS. Your work will be returned if it contains packing peanuts. Please inform your shipper if you have it packed professionally. Ship in sturdy, reusable cartons with adequate packing materials. Please use bubble wrap as opposed to air bags which tend to deflate at the end of the exhibition. Please do not use oversized boxes for artwork. We cannot store them.
• Please tape return shipping label, along with the exhibition artwork ID label and a one-page resume, to the back of your artwork.
• Please mark the name of the exhibition on the outside of the box: NAWA/Wellfleet.
• Accepted artwork may be hand delivered OR shipped – and MUST arrive at the Wellfleet Preservation Hall (335 Main Street Wellfleet, MA 02667)  between January 23 – February 1, 2023.
• After the show closes, artists may pick up hand-delivered work March 1, 2023 – 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.
