On The Edge

We live on the edge. Climate change, social justice & inequality, and social responsibility impact every facet of our lives. We invite you to share your artistic prospective as we navigate and seek insight into these important issues.

GUIDELINES:
Definition: Must be original work, no Giclée, in classically defined fine art categories: Oil, Acrylic, Wax, Photography, Mixed Media, Collage, Sculpture, Printmaking, Pastels, Watercolors, Mosaics, Ceramics, Fiber Arts. (Digitally created must be recognized as such in the medium/description.) Video art not accepted.

Entry Fee is $35.00 for two images, $5.00 for an additional image. (Maximum 3 images)

SIZE RESTRICTIONS:

Wall Hung art: maximum height, 48 inches; maximum with 40 inches. Sculpture: maximum height, 36 inches; maximum with 24 inches, maximum depth 20 inches

SPECIFICS:

Make sure your images are @ 72 dpi 1100 pixels on the longest side, in JPG format, RGB color space. Please label each entry. Art work not labeled correctly, will not be considered.

Labeling: artist last name, first name, title of the work, medium, size (H x L x W), and price

Example: Smith_Jane_Snowfall_oil on canvas_20x30_$2800

Wall hung art must be properly wired for hanging. No sawtooth or other hanging devices will be accepted.

DETAILS:

Please describe the materials used and your process. Example: Encaustic, acrylic, oil, wax, F-stop, shutter speed, and process: anaolg, digital, negative, slide, raw file, jpeg file, canvas, metal, wood…

COMMISSIONS:
Work must be for sale. Artist receives 50%, Gallery 26/The Vendue receives 40%, NAWA Headquarters receives 10%.

SHIPPING/DELIVERY/PICK-UP:

Artwork must arrive between May 16 and May 20, 2022 addressed too: The Vendue Art Hotel, Gallery 26; 19 Vendue Range, Charleston, SC 29401. Please be sure to include a return UPS or FedEx label. Hand delivered work can be dropped off May 16-May 19, 2022 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Art work will be returned as soon as possible upon the close of the exhibition. Art work may be picked up on June 14 and June 15 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
